The Submission Process

To start the application process for a grant you must create a user account:

  • Click "Register" and complete the required fields
  • Provide your full name, institutional affiliation and email address
  • Submit your personal information by using the "Create Account" button
  • After submitting your information, you will receive an email with a link to confirm your account and set up your password
  • Once your account is confirmed, you can log in to the Grant Portal with your email address and password
  • Your account will be validated and approved by Edwards, after which you will be able to submit your grant request

The Grant Application Process

Before submitting your grant request, you will be asked to select the relevant therapeutic area and the grant type for which you are applying. After choosing the above-mentioned selections, you will proceed to the acknowledgement page, which will redirect you to the appropriate application form.

  • The applicant generates project idea first and starts planning the project.
  • The local Edwards team connects the applicant with a Grant Review Committee representative or provides a link to the regional Grant Portal web page.
  • The applicant submits the grant application, describing the research or educational project via the Grant Portal.
  • The Grant Committee reviews the submitted proposal and takes a decision. The applicant will receive feedback on their application from a Grant Review Committee representative.
  • If the project is approved, an Edwards representative manages the contracting process. Both parties will have the opportunity to review the contract before signing.
  • Once the milestones specified in the contract have been reached, Edwards will release the grant payment.
  • Upon project completion, a final report in an appropriate format must be submitted to Edwards.
